Nuttin' But Stringz

Come meet Urban Rock violinists Nuttin’ But Stringz the finalists of NBC’s hit show America’s Got Talent this Sunday December 21st, 2008 from 12 – 2pm at the FDNY Firehouse at 42 Great Jones Street in Soho. These talented brothers of Nuttin’ But Stringz -Damien and Tourie Escobar- will be helping with the 26th Annual Daily News Readers Care to Feed the Hungry of New York Food Drive. They will be at the Firehouse all afternoon meeting fans, signing autographs and taking pictures in exchange for donated canned goods to help feed the hungry in New York! This is the largest food drive in New York City, which the NY Daily News administers in conjunction with City Harvest, the FDNY and the NYPD. The firehouses and police precincts in each of the five boroughs serve as collection points for the food drive. Last year food drive collected over 800,000 pounds of food to feed the hungry of New York, and they are hoping for an even bigger collection this year. In this time of economic crisis, it is even more important than ever to assist those in great need, even before the economic downturn, food supplies at food pantries and soup kitchens in New York City were stretched thin.
