| Description | Katonah, New York — The Caramoor International Music Festival opens its first ever Fall Festival with a gala evening in a “garden of great music.†The 1st fall festival opens on Friday, October 2 in the Venetian Theater with Alan Gilbert, who will be in his inaugural season as the New York Philharmonic’s Music Director, leading the Orchestra and legendary pianist Emanuel Ax in an all-Beethoven program: Piano Concerto No. 4 and Symphony No. 7. The concert at Caramoor is a highlight of the first weeks of Alan Gilbert’s inaugural season as the 25th Music Director of the New York Philharmonic.
The Gala begins at 6:45pm with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Italian Pavilion and continues with a concert at 8:00pm. After the concert, guests will be served a post-concert dinner.
The Opening Night Gala honorees are the William Petschek Family. Gala Co-chairs are Patricia and Edward Falkenberg.
Tickets to the Gala evening are $2,500 (Vice Chair), $1,250 (Committee Member) with limited seating at $750 (Devotee) and includes pre-concert cocktails; seating at the Opening Night concert; and a post-concert dinner. Tables of ten are available at $25,000 and $12,500.
