NY Social Media Week - World Record Appreciation Society

When Wed, February 11, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Where  Pianos, 158 Ludlow Street, NYC (map)
Description
After packing the house at Asia Roma last month, we're happy to be moving to a larger venue with more seats and better sight lines. The lineup is still being finalized, but check back soon to see who will be setting records that night. If you want to get on the bill and set your own world record, please e-mail Dan (dan@urdb.org) ASAP. And, as always, courtesy snacks! Chicken fingers for all, y'all. Price of admission for the night is $5. Unemployed people are welcome for free. We hate to charge, but need to find a way to keep the site alive. If we find a sponsor, the night will be free for all. THE LINEUP: *Instructoart.com's Matt Vescovo will be setting a record that involves sexual innuendos and squirrels. *Writer/web guru Whitney Hess (whitneyness.com) will make Internet history by sending out the the most 'tweets' (Twitter updates) in one hour. *Our opening act for the night will be legendary beatboxer Adam Matta (adammatta.com). He's radical to the max. Come early. Matta will also set a beatbox record TBD. *Opus Moreschi will be vying for the title of He Who Has Worn the Most Neckties At Once. *Man after my own heart David Sax will break (or set?) the record for Most Jewish Delis Named In One Minute. *The lovely Julia Kaganskiy will give you some skin when she shoots for The Most High-Fives in One Minute. *Andrea Rosen will restore your faith in humanity with the record for Most Wayne's World Catchphrases Recited in One Minute. *All that and more! Stay tuned for updates. And if you want to participate, e-mail Dan at dan@urdb.org.
