THE 2009 GOLD RUSH AWARDS

2009 Gold Rush Awards, a special gold themed multi-media cocktail event and fundraiser in support of Rush Arts Gallery and Corridor Gallery. Musical performances by Talib Kweli and the AntiPop Consortium and celebrity DJ Cassidy with special set by honoree DJ Beverly Bond and hosted by MTV's Sway. The Gold Rush Awards have been created to acknowledge outstanding individuals in the arts for establishing groundbreaking community arts programs or projects that embody social awareness and engagement. The evening will also include video installations, a special art auction, cocktails, and more. Proceeds from this event will support exhibitions and programming at Rush Arts Gallery, Cooridor gallery and the Rush Teens Curatorial Project-core programs of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. Rush Arts Gallery and Corridor Gallery are dedicated to providing urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts as well as providing exhibition opportunities to early and mid-career artists. Donation tickets are $125 for individuals. Corporate Sponsorships range from $1,500 to $10,000.
