Celebrity Chef Series: Lidia Bastianich - The Art of Pasta

You're invited to an extraordinary evening with one of the most beloved authorities on Italian food and culture. Her Public Television series, Lidia's Italy, is seen worldwide, with an estimated 4 million people watching each show. However, this night, no TV is needed as Culinary Insiders are warmly welcomed into Lidia's private dining room and share in one of her favorite topics, as well as dishes, pasta.

We begin with a reception of Bastianich wines accompanied with stuzzichini, a sampling of Italian delicacies. Afterwards we are treated to a multi-course meal, with select wines, of Lidia's favorite pasta dishes, including one she served to the Pope during his visit in 2008.

We learn about Lidia's incredible journey from her small, 1970's restaurant in Queens to an empire of six restaurants, numerous cookbook's, TV shows, travel and retail items. We meet her Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra, who has been with Felidia since 1996, and has brought an innovative presentation and touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all of the regions of Italy.
