Jewelry Trunk Show at The Hog Pit

The Hog Pit (37 W. 26th street New York, NY) will host a jewelry trunk show on Wednesday September 2 and Wednesday September 16, 2009 from 12:30 pm and 8:00 pm featuring a Maasai collection by designer Elizabeth Warner as well as a collection by jewelry designer Laura Mady. Since her work as interior designer of the prestigious Shompole Lodge in 2001, Elizabeth Warner has been part of a team that has won awards for the development of the Maasai peoples’ achievements and increased income. The collection of Maasai jewelry, ornaments, and clothing are all handmade, boasting bright colors and intricate patterns. Designer Laura Mady has worked with gem stones for over 10 years, perfecting the process of wire wrapping and silk knotting. Her jewelry line comes in all styles with silver and gold accents and pieces in her collection generally range from $35 to $500 dollars at retail value, but will be offered at a 25% off discounted price during the trunk show. A part of the proceeds from each purchase will be donated to The Breast Center at St. Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, The Hog Pit will be selling “Pink Ribbon” T-Shirts during the show and donating part of the proceeds to the St. Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. The event will include wine and appetizers as well as a “Fashion Plate Special” for shoppers.
